A place to call home & Midnight baking
Today, I present….. Part 1 of Hamster-Mommy’s new home! HAHA! It’s not really a hamster cage, more of a wooden box lol. Ever since the fight, I’ve been keeping hamster-mommy in the small cage. Then one fine day I decided to switch the hamster-mommy to the big cage and let hamster-baby stay in the small cage so that hamster-mommy could use the big running wheel. Who would have thought that hamster-baby was claustrophobic and she tried to squeeze her small face through the cage. So now, poor hamster-baby has 3 obvious scars on her face. The picture below shows only two:
So Ivan decided that he wanted to build a home for hamster-mommy and bought wooden planks, tape, wood glue, toys etc. from Daiso at IMM. So here’s her cute spacious home, with hamster-mommy looking at me taking her picture. Usually they run away when the camera’s nearby, which makes it harder for me to take sharp pictures. But well, guess she must love the new house HAHA.
I think it’s really adorable how she loves to hide in her little red and blue box bed. Haha. Oh yea and the reason why this post is only Part 1 of hamster-mommy’s new home, is because Ivan and I are constructing a mini maze too! We’ve bought all the stuff already but haven’t fixed it up
Alright, I’m going to bathe now, at 3.30am because I JUST FINISHED BAKING! Hahaha. Lace, if you’re reading this, I know you don’t like cut-out cookies. But I absolutely adore them! Cut-out cookies were the FIRST recipe I tried on my own when I was in secondary school, and somehow I lost that awesome recipe I used back then. I’ve been searching high and low for a decent recipe, and today I finally found one that could give me hard enough dough to start rolling and cutting cookies. And the best thing about cut-out cookies is that you can CUT WHATEVER SHAPE YOU WANT! Hahaha. I only have 1 star-shaped and 1 heart-shaped cutter now, but I’m sure my collection will grow. LOL.
Oh yes, and one last thing. I RAN TODAY. HUR HUR.
Love, Samantha
